A Spandex Jersey is a soft and stretchy fabric made from either wool, cotton, synthetic fiber and spandex or Lycra. Jersey is a knit fabric used predominantly for clothing manufacture. It's the perfect basic stretch material for a variety of projects like t-shirts, intimates, lounge wear, dresses, baby apparel, legging and Head wrap or head accessories and all kind of DIY Crafts.
The fabric can be a very stretchy single knitting, usually light-weight, jersey with one flat side and one piled side to heavier texture.
4-way stretch fabrics, such as spandex, stretches in both directions, crosswise and lengthwise. First used in swimsuits and women's bras, fashion designers began using it for trendy Prom and Wedding dresses.
